Abstract

Islamic religious education has an important role in forming individual character and morals and promoting understanding of religion in society. However, the implementation of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum in public schools is often faced with a number of challenges that can affect the quality of Islamic religious education. This research analyzes the implementation of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum in public schools and its impact on the quality of Islamic religious education. This research aims to identify factors that influence curriculum implementation, including teacher qualifications, teaching methods, and school support. The research method involves literature analysis and case studies in various public schools. The research results show that teacher qualifications, diverse teaching methods, and school support play an important role in improving the implementation of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum. There is diversity in curriculum design, reflecting the flexibility of the curriculum in accommodating differences in culture and values. Efforts to improve the quality of Islamic religious education in public schools require improving teacher qualifications, strong school support, and developing more effective teaching methods. It is hoped that this research will provide valuable insight for educational policy makers and practitioners in the field of Islamic religious education
